Lucille M. (Fraterelli) Bacino Thursday, August 26, 2004 Lucille M. (Fraterelli) Bacino, 90, born Dec. 13, 1913, passed away Aug. 24, 2004. Predeceased by husband, Benjamin F. Bacino; parents, Jona and Mary Fraterelli; sisters, Sylvia Desiato and Flora Stephens; brothers, Adolph Fraterelli and Dominick Fratterelli; and son-in-law, Carl R. Proctor. Survived by daughters, Joanne J. Proctor and Marilynn L. (Ronald) Gettel; grandchildren, Deborah K. Proctor, Carla R. Proctor M.D., Pamela M. (James) Puissant, Kristina G. (David Seley) Proctor Ph.D., Rhonda L. (Scott) Bridgman and Benjamin "Biff" (Ronda) Gettel; great-grandchildren, Brett and Chad Bridgman, Tyler, Sydney and Tanner Gettel, Nicole and Samantha Puissant; brothers, Louis Fraterelli, Eno Fraterelli and Joseph (Sylvia) Fraterelli; sisters-in-law, Jen Fraterelli and Christine Fratterelli; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Louise and Amanda Garcia and the late Lillian Pacheco. Lucille was a member of Christ the King Parish and was a very loving, caring and considerate mother, grandmother and friend. Viewing, 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Bonnie A. Bacino Tuesday, November 12, 2002 Bonnie A. Bacino, 96, a lifelong resident of Pueblo, born July 26, 1906, passed away Nov. 9, 2002. She is preceded in death by her father, Calogio "Kelly" Bacino; mother, Josephine Bacino; sisters, Katherine Corsentino and Betty Pagano; brothers, Ben, Joseph and Sam Bacino. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was retired from Fox Valet Wholesale Drugs. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Therese Parish. Viewing, noon until 5 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, Shrine of St. Therese Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Rose Bacino Benfatti Wednesday, March 22, 2000 Rose Bacino Benfatti, born March 31, 1916, died March 13, 2000. The families of Rose Bacino Benfatti buried her in Montebello, Calif., at Rose Hills Cemetery on March 18. Born and raised in Pueblo, Rose left Colorado for California as a young bride. Although she never lived in Colorado again, every summer for some 60 years she would come to visit her family in Pueblo and spend four to six weeks in her parents' home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastiano "Chauncy"; her daughter, Klara Smith; parents, Vincenzo and Cologera Bacino; brothers Karl, Ben, Joe "Blackie," and Sam Bacino; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" and Mary Bacino Zancanella; brother-in-law, Ernest Zancanella; sister, Josephine Bacino Carnelli, who ironically was born on the same day as Rose in 1914 and also passed away on March 13, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Annette (Marty) Gevorkian; her brother, Tony (Kathy)her sister-in-law, Dorothy Bacino; nephews Charles, Jim and Father Ben Bacino; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose was a joy to all who knew her. Her cooking skills were the epitome of the Italian grandma and she loved nothing better than cooking a meal for her loved ones. She will be missed...... |

Mary Bacino Zancanella Tuesday, January 20, 1998 Mary Bacino Zancanella, born March 22, 1910, passed away Jan. 18, 1998. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Zancanella; brothers, Karl, Ben, Joe ``Blackie" and Sam Bacino; brothers-in-law, John Carnelli and Sebastiano Benfatti; and her parents Vincenzo Bacino and Cologera Cusamano Bacino. Survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Bacino, Josephine Bacino Carnelli and Rose Bacino Benfatti; brother, Tony (Kathy) Bacino; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Zancanella Bacino; nephews, Charles Bacino, Jim Bacino, Rev. Ben Bacino and Tony Carnelli; and nieces, Josephine Ann Carnelli Robinson and Annette Benfatti Gevorkian. She was baptized at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by Father Giglio and remained a lifelong member and was a member of the church choir for more than 40 years. Mrs. Bacino was a charter member of the Blue Spruce, a women's club that met monthly for over 50 years. With her sister, Rose, and then Elizabeth (Betty), she ran the Rose-Mary Beauty Shop in the Central Block until the building burned in the early fifties. As a part-time occupation, she worked as the cosmetologist for T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home for over 50 years. Mary was a charter member of the Steel City Eagles Lodge 3367 and served as president of the Lodge Auxiliary as well as the Grand Madame President of the State Auxiliary. Travel required in her duties as state president allowed her and her husband, Ernie, to travel throughout the state in their camper, stopping along the way to camp and fish, their favorite pasttime. Contributions may be made to Steel City Eagles Lodge 3367 for the Jimmie Durante Cancer Fund or Research for Respiratory Illness. The family may be contacted at 218 S. Bradford. Carrie Bacino Wednesday, August 14, 2002 Carrie Bacino, 88, passed away at her home and went to be with the Lord on Aug. 13, 2002. Although baptized as a baby, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized on July 14, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 1956; also two brothers, Joe and Sam Mulay; and a sister, Mary Vendetti. She is survived by a son, Carl (Barbara) Bacino of Sachse, Texas; a daughter, JoAnn (Jack) Spear, Pueblo West; a brother, John Mulay, Pueblo; and a sister, Vivian (Jack) Rodasta of Colorado Springs; along with six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She loved all of her family dearly. She was the daughter of Carl and Katherine Mulay. She was a limited partner and manager of the Stardust Plaza Apartments for many years. Carrie was a member of Holy Family Parish, Bishop's Guild, REAC, a volunteer at Pueblo Manor for many years, and active in the Eagles Auxiliary No. 145 for 25 years. She will be missed by all her family and friends who loved her. A memorial service will be held at George McCarthy Historic Chapel Friday at 10:30 a.m. A special thanks to Dr. Phillip Woods. Preceded in death by her parents, Vincenzo Bacino and Cologera Cusamano Bacino; brothers, Karl, Ben, Joe ``Blackie", and Sam Bacino; sister, Mary Bacino Zancanella; brothers-in-law, Sebastiano Benfatti, John Carnelli and Ernest Zancanella. Survived by her sisters, Josephine Bacino Carnelli and Rose Bacino Benfatti; brother, Tony (Kathy) Bacino; sister-in-law, Dorothy Zancanella Bacino; nephews, Charles Bacino, Jim Bacino; Rev. Ben Bacino, and Tony Carnelli; nieces, Josephine Ann Carnelli Robinson and Annette Benfatti Gevorkian. Betty was baptized at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by Father Giglio and remained a lifelong member. With her sister, Mary, they were members of the church choir for more than 40 years. With her sisters, Mary and Rose, she ran the Rose-Mary Beauty Shop in the Central Block until the building burned in the early 1950's. The oldest daughter in a large family, Betty was a surrogate mother to her siblings. She kept the large family home as a base for all the family members who as adults married and moved away. Her holiday and spaghetti dinners were the glue that kept the large family together for years until her health began to fail. The family may be contacted at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. on Monday. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Rose Marie (Bacino) Hansen Tuesday, May 27, 2003 Rose Marie (Bacino) Hansen, passed through death into eternal life on May 23, 2003, at the age of 90. She was a vivacious woman who loved to visit with people. Rose devoted her life to her family and worked to make her home a warm place of welcome. She shared generously her gift of hospitality and was known as a great cook. Born to the union of Librolio "Frank" and Sylvia (Mule) Bacino on May 4, 1913, Rose was the sixth of 12 children. In her childhood, she survived the Great Pueblo Flood of 1921, the death of her father in 1926, and the Great Depression of 1929. Rose attended Centennial High School. She loved to sing and dance, and was very close to her family, especially her sister, Jo. As a young adult she moved to Denver to help care for her niece. There she met Paul Nels Hansen, and they were married on Nov. 26, 1940. Following Pearl Harbor, Rose took up the war effort, working at the air base here in Pueblo while her husband served in the military. After the war ended, Paul's job as a state patrolman took them to Denver, Lamar, Durango and back to Pueblo. Together they raised a family of three, all educators, and were married for nearly 50 years. A woman of great faith, Rose was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and a long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart Cathedral. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. She leaves many who will cherish her memory especially her children, Sandy Hansen, Paul Hansen, and Jo (Mike Baldauf) Hansen. The family is grateful to Dr. Jim Stjernholm and the staff of St. Mary-Corwin Hospital, especially 2200, for their compassionate care. Mass of Christian Burial, Sacred Heart Cathedral, 7 p.m. Wednesday. Casket will be open half-hour before liturgy for viewing. Family will greet friends in the Parish Hall following the liturgy. Interment, Sacred Heart Cathedral/Roselawn Cemetery, 10 a.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers and food, donations may be made in Rose's memory through the funeral home to the Search Retreat Program or the Alzheimer's Association...... |
